At 318 Art & Frame, we’re always on the lookout for artists who celebrate Louisiana in unexpected ways—and Paige Powell does just that. Her bold, surreal digital collages stop you in your tracks. Packed with color, wit, and a deep love for her hometown of Shreveport, Paige’s work brings local landmarks and memories to life in a style that’s unmistakably her own. We’re thrilled to showcase her imaginative pieces and introduce her to our community in a more personal way.Louisiana Hayride 11x14.jpg

Born and raised in Shreveport, Paige Powell’s creative path was anything but ordinary. She studied studio painting at Stephens College in Missouri, then went on to earn a degree in Music and Video Business from the Art Institute of Dallas. Paige spent years working in the Dallas music industry before returning home, eventually landing a job as the in-house graphic designer at Eldorado Casino. For over a decade, she shaped the look and feel of one of the city’s major entertainment spaces. But it wasn’t until 2016—after a soul-searching cross-country trip and the loss of her father—that she decided to fully embrace her calling as a working artist.

Paige’s artwork lives somewhere between dream and memory. Using digital collage, she layers vintage imagery, local architecture, and whimsical elements to create what she calls “Fauxtography.” Her signature style often reimagines beloved Shreveport spots—think the Strand Theatre or the Duck Pond—placing them in playful, sometimes fantastical compositions that feel like visual love letters to the city. Many of her pieces are transformed into shadowbox-style mixed media works, adding depth and texture with wood, resin, and layered imagery. Whether you’re drawn to nostalgia, architecture, or just pure creative joy, Paige’s work has something to say.

At 318 Art & Frame, we’re currently featuring Paige’s popular 318 Collages, a series that celebrates the landmarks and personality of north Louisiana with both humor and reverence. We’re also showcasing pieces from her “Couch Series,” a collection of dreamy, album-cover-inspired works that blend retro vibes with pop culture nods. Each piece is more than just eye candy—it’s a story, a mood, a wink to something familiar.

What makes Paige such a great fit for our gallery isn’t just her talent—it’s her deep connection to the community and her desire to honor it through art. She brings a fresh, approachable energy to the world of fine art while staying rooted in place and purpose. Her work is instantly recognizable but always evolving, which mirrors the creativity we love to foster at 318.

We invite you to stop by the gallery and experience Paige Powell’s work in person. You can also explore her available pieces online or follow along with her journey through upcoming events and artist features. Her art is a celebration of Shreveport, of southern stories, and of seeing the world through a brighter, more imaginative lens. Come see it for yourself—you won’t forget it.
