At 318 Art & Frame, we are proud to represent and celebrate the work of Caroline Youngblood, a Monroe-based artist whose paintings speak to the soul of the South and the quiet power of memory.
Caroline’s roots run deep—she was raised on her family’s plantation beside the Ouachita River in Riverton, Louisiana, and that sense of place is ever-present in her work. With layers of bold brushwork, soft abstraction, and subtle symbolism, her paintings blend contemporary expression with personal history. Her subject matter often includes magnolia blooms, bayou wildlife, heirloom photographs, and scenes inspired by Louisiana’s natural beauty. The result is a body of work that feels at once intimate and universal—like a visual diary of life, love, and legacy in the South.
Beyond technique, what truly sets Caroline’s work apart is the energy behind it. She is a certified yoga instructor and Reiki master, and her creative process is deeply spiritual. Each painting is approached with intention and care, often incorporating meditation and healing practices. This energy is especially meaningful in the spaces where her art is displayed—most notably in Dr. Tharwat Ghattas’s hematology-oncology clinic in Monroe, where her calming artwork helps create a serene and supportive atmosphere for patients.
Caroline holds a BFA from Louisiana State University and an MFA from Louisiana Tech, and her work has been exhibited throughout the South, including at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. She continues to create and share her art through her business, J. Caroline Youngblood Fine Art, offering original paintings and fine art prints that are collected across the country.
We invite you to explore Caroline Youngblood’s work in person at 318 Art & Frame, where you can experience firsthand the warmth, emotion, and storytelling that radiate from every piece. Her art is more than something to look at—it’s something to feel.
