Brad Budge, the son of two artist has been painting and drawing his whole life. His mother was an art teacher at Grace King High School and his home was always filled with art projects. From watching her design cups for Mardi Gras throws, to helping her make paper mache floats for the school Mardi Gras parades art was always a part of his life. As a child Brad had his own art business making airbrushed t- shirts for his friends. Brad studied art at LSU but went on the pursue his love for design by renovating and selling houses and helping others do the same. Working in this business with local stores and designers drew him back to art. In 2016 he decided to start painting consistently again. One painting led to the next and his story continues. Brad is a resident of Mandeville and lives with his wife Lisa and kids as well as his dog Lola.

Brad draws his inspiration from his environment capturing iconic New Orleans landmarks such as the Streetcar, St Louis Cathedral, and French Quarter scenes. Southern landscapes with marshes, oaks and cypress trees influence many of his paintings. His style is impressionistic. His work is described as calming and the soothing color palette works well in a variety of spaces.
