Kelsey is a Louisiana-based, self-taught artist with a heartfelt passion for birds — especially the feathered natives of our home state. Her pieces are bold yet serene, capturing the quiet beauty of nature through striking birds, soft backgrounds, and her unmistakable love for storytelling through art.
Though Kelsey has lived in different parts of Louisiana, Shreveport is where her roots run deep. It’s where she graduated from both high school and nursing school, and now, it’s where her art is making a joyful landing.
“Birds have always been my favorite,” she says. “And every now and then, I find myself painting little ‘mom and baby’ bird duos — they have my whole heart.”
Kelsey’s approach is intuitive and nature-led — no formal color theory here, just a deep trust in the natural world to show her what works. The result is a collection of artwork that feels alive, warm, and full of soul.
